Volunteers who give advice are at the heart of our service in Rugby and we really could not manage without them. We want to recruit a number of trainee Advisers - people from all walks of life, and all ages.
All we ask is that you offer a commitment of two days per week (initially one day must be on a Monday for training purposes). After training, you can choose a couple of days (9.30am - 3pm) that suit you. We'll even cover your travel expenses.
We pride ourselves on the quality of our training at Rugby. All we'll need from you is basic IT skills (internet & email), the ability to read & write, a willingness to negotiate, and research, and a commitment of at least two years. In return, we'll teach you every thing you need to know to become a first class Adviser.
We're a team. We understand that its impossible to know everything, which is why we have an extensive electronic database you can draw on at any time, and an experienced supervisor who can guide you and provide the right information you'll need to support a client.
Once you've completed training, you'll not only have gained new friends, but also reassurance from a strong team in Rugby who will continue to support you and help broaden your knowledge. In fact many of our qualified trainees go on to support new trainees.
If you're considering becoming a volunteer adviser for us, contact Mike Arthur on 02476 643206 and he'll call you back - no obligation
